Starter and temperature

Jul 30, 2007 1 Replies

Hi! I'm from Italy and I have a problem with my 240 wagon '93. When the engine is very hot, for example after a long trip or when the the weather is hot, if I turn off the engine the starter doesnn't go. I have to wait half hour ant try again. I think that's the magnet.......

There aren't any permanent magnets in the starter, it's probably a bad winding or solenoid though, replace the starter and you should be good to go.
