Reading Click and Clack today in my local paper I was not sure they were giving good advice. Someone with a Volvo V70 was concerned about their timing belt on their car that had
112K miles on it. They answered that this guy should have replaced the belt at 105K miles. I'm not a mechanic, but it seems like overkill. Of course, I also don't know about the V70, but I believe it should have similar wear as most other cars.
