V70 dents

The doors and other body panels of most cars will dent if someone opens a door into them. Remember all that force from a door that weighs well over 100 pounds is being slammed into one small area in your door. Because so many people squeeze their supersized SUV's and trucks into parking spaces designed for standard sized cars it is a good idea to look carefully at what is next to you before parking.

Sure, but I'm surprised how easily it's happened with our V70 - not seen in other cars we've had to this extent.

I have a 1998 V70 XC with all of the AWFUL plastic body cladding on the side, but I can say that it is good for preventing dings. I don't have any, and I've been hit by some doors: they just bounce off of the plastic molding.
