What sort of cable is the red electrical cable next to the cable for opening the hood?

My 240 polar is from 1993 and it is a model 1994.
I hope you can tell me what sort of cable is the red cable under the dash.

Hopefully not. Are you sure? The cable from the hood is broken. Instead of pulling the end of the hoodcable, I pulled (in the dark) the red cable. (stupid mistake)
I think the red cable is not broken yet, but I think condition must be bad of worn. Is it easy to replace it?
I can't be sure without looking at it. If it's a power wire, you'd have to pull very hard to damage it. If the car is still working ok I wouldn't worry about it.
The car is still wordking OK.
The red cable leads not to the fuse panel, but somewhere near under the window Maybe control panel.
