I think my Passat wagon is confused about the position of the driver's door lock.
If I drive someplace with offspring, (doors lock at 10mph), hit door-mounted "unlock" for all the doors to let kids/dog out, hit "lock" on key transmitter, all the locks fire, the horn beeps, and everything's hunky dory.
If I drive someplace alone, (doors lock at 10mph), get out (door handle unlocks door), hit "lock" on key transmitter, horn beeps without firing the driver's door lock solenoid.
If it were a pinball machine I would think the lenses on an LED emitter/sensor pair needed cleaning.
Has anyone taken apart a door and seen what's in there?
