04 jetta wagon

I dunno if it makes sense or not, but my wife drives a 1.8t, 5spd wagon with the sport suspension, and it's a fun car to drive... I figure if you're gonna have a fun motor/trans, you might as well...

I rode in a '02 Jetta with the sport suspension and it felt a lot like our BMW 3-series in terms of the ride...very tight and well controlled. The stock setup is, IMHO, a bit mushy but probably comfortable for non-enthusiasts. If you consider yourself any type of driving enthusiast you'll probably also find the basic setup a bit too soft and you'll be happier with the sport.

For the money, $800 would a very good price because if you went back 1 week later after you purchased the car and ordered the VW lowering springs (keep your warrenty good) and a set of VW rims, you would be spending a LOT more than $800.

I lowered my 04 first thing, but I've got the fugly 15" wheels on it. The car handles pretty good, really fun to drive. I want to put the 17" Longbeach wheels on it, but my wife has concerns about how that would make the car ride (harsh). We may meet on some middle ground and go with some 16" wheels.

But the best thing about the 04 Wagon is there isn't the chrome trim and the tail look normal.
