have 88 Fox runs good only with starting I have to pump the gaspedal ,then the startermotor will kick in and start up very rough until kathilic converter kicks in . Later in the day after the car gets warm it wil start easy. wish I could find out my problem other wise I ame very happy with the car gave me for 10 years good service. Thanks Moony.

Well since you probably wanted some helpful information.......you probably need a Bentley manual and a Digital Volt Ohm Meter to help guide you in testing procedures. Then you can test components like the Coolant Temperature Sensor (likely) or other items that affect your fuel injection at different temperatures. Could also be intake manifold boot like maybe a small crack. Guessing is usually expensive! ;-) JMHO later, dave Reminder........ Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
