Got a bad ignition switch.
How do you get the assembly off the colume (or do you need to) - seems that adapter spline has to come off - but how - with a puller of some sort?

I clamp a pair of vice grips on the splined adapter behind the beveled part, then use a 2 leg puller to pull on the vice grips.
Excellent idea. Worked fine.
