93 eurovan- fuel/water gauge not working.

I see that other 93's have the same problem. Doe's anyone know of a fix for this problem? Is it just the cluster? any help will be appreciated. thanks.

Common problem indeed. First you should join the ev_update group at yahoo. Then remove the steering wheel and instrument cluster and partially dissamble the cluster. You'll find a voltage regulator there that's plugged into the circuit board. (a three legged electronic gizmo). The fix is to solder it inplace. Do it before you loose coolant and overheat the engine.

Make sure components don't overheat while soldering. Don't hold the solder iron to long on the circuit board and let things cool down between you start working on the next leg.
