Ive got a 99 Passat 1.6 with 48000miles on the clock, i recently had it converted to LPG, after about 2 weeks i noticed that there was oil in coolant, i left it a week and it had got worser so i flushed it all out and put some cleaner through and then flushed it out again but after driving for
20 miles the coolant had oil in it again. What i want to know is, if it is the head gasket, how much am i roughly looking at to get it repaired???, and is it a common thing to go??? Also when i had it converted to LPG the mechanic only put water back in rather than water and coolant, could this have been a problem with only water been put back in??
