Lately the ABS sensor warning idiot light is on and off with some frequency but no rhyme or reason......thoughts?

My first guess would be a sensor is going south. When the light is on you likely have no ABS, but the brakes will work ok otherwise.

Other than the ABS module thinks something is wrong, I don't have many thoughts to offer.
However, get me some DTC reports from the ABS module, year and model of your car and I can offer more info.
