Hello all, I have a '95 golf which as of late has been pullingto the left. Consequently I have to steer right to keep it straight. Ironically there is a buzzing or grinding noise that emminates from the front right side when the wheel is turned right, but if straightened out it all but disappears. Any ideas what this could be? Are the left pull and the grinding two seperate or related problems? Any insight would be appreciated.

Wheel bearing(s) come to mind.
If the wheel bearing on the left had a LOT of friction, I could imagine it pulling left. But that would be really bad, and I don't think you should do much driving on it in that case.
So the pulling could be alignment or bent something. The right wheel bearing could be making the noise; noise changing when turning is common with front wheel bearings.
I imagine there is a good chance you need a ball joint or two also.
You may have your front tires checked I had radial tire pull my 95 cabrio needed an alignment and new front tires. Tony

i think you have bent an arm over a bump in the road. a large delta shaped steel part on which the hub rests. since it is bent the wheel is no longer in the same position as designed. when you steer it is hitting the car body. you can verify this by taking measurements and comparing the geometry of the front wheels position, and by examining the car body/tyre for chafing.
