Have a LeBra for a 2003 Jetta GLI that appears to fit fine however it has managed to mark/wear some of the paint away from the front fenders near where the black plastic hooks connect at the front of the wheel wells. I drive on highway for my daily commute and the cover significantly protects the car from bugs and stones. Wondered if anyone knew of anything that could be done to the hooks w/minimal effort to prevent such scratching. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd recommend doing what I did with the bra I bought for my van...tossing it in the trash. I was VERY careful about taking it off when I should, but left it on once (actually wife did) for a couple of days after it got wet and clouded the paint on the hood pretty badly. I figure the damage done in these two days is a lot worse than the damage the van received in the 20,000 miles it has gone without the bra.
I bought one direct from the dealer when I first got my '94 Golf and it has made a tremendous difference. They tend to fit MUCH better than any generic brand of car bra and to avoid any discoloration or scratching I usually remove it once a week and wash the bra and hood and apply a thick coat of wax where the bra covers. So in ten years of use there is no damage at all caused by the bra. However, there are lots of stone chips from winter driving since it should NEVER be used in the winter...at least here in Canada.
