My Headliner Sags NO MORE!

For the $250 it cost, it was the BEST money I have ever spent on my Jetta. I don't understand why people with great looking cars would treat them like this. I mean, the A2 Jetta is an attractive vehicle, and a s***ty interior really detracts from the vehicle.

The headliner in my 88 is mint, no sag. What causes it to sag?

Cressman, all you need now is euro lights and your all set.

The stuff that VW uses back in the early 80's and 90's worked well, then...however, as the car aged, the styrofoam spray glue started to loosen, and well, you can figure out what happens next....saggy headliner..However, since the headliners were hand made, some had more glue than others...

My problem is the cover over the sunroof. Over time it appears that the hot sun has heated up the springs so much that it has left ring marks on the material. Do you know if they sell a replacement material for the sunroof?

Nope.....VW Discontinued all headliner components a few years ago....however, there is a 4-door non-sunroof headliner sitting in the warehouse at my dealership...

My wife has judged at Waterfest 3 times now and one thing she notices a lot is how many great looking cars have crapped out headliners. Maybe your post will help get these people to take care of the problem.

Hehe, Well I'm jealous. My 87 GLI 16v Jetta has a bad case of saggy headliner and the car still looks pretty darn good on the outside. First I tried Elmers Spray Adhesive and that didn't last but a few hours. Then I tried duck tape and that doesn't look so good but at least it's holding it up. I'll have to try this automotive gooP stuff next. Not willing to drop
