New car

Just wondering. In light of past VWs with excellent gas mileage, excellent longevity 15+ or more years, maintenance requirements low; not expensive, easy to work on even with a vague maintenance/repair manual like Bentley's, what is an equivalent nowadays? What would you buy new today to meet these assets tomorrow? Certainly not VW.

Me thinks history and reality don't match in Jonny's world...

I think he means the first and second series Rabbits/ Golfs and Jettas.

There is no such vehicle, especially in regard to "easy to work on". Those days are over.

Just wondering. Why can't you go troll somewhere else?
