I have a 1.4cl Golf Mk3 (1993) and have a major problem with the passenger side door. Its dropped quite a lot on its hinges and now has to be slammed very hard to close it, and sometimes needs the latch fiddling with also (to open it more).
How easy is it to remove the door on the Golf? I'm assuming it involves removing the front wing, as this is in the way of the torx bolts on the hinge. Do I need to replace the hinge or just the hinge 'pin' as i was told by my local Halfords?
And how easy is it to replace the latch, as I think this is damaged also.
