How does one change the battery in the remote? I've noticed lately it's getting weaker & weaker when I open the doors with it. I should probably look in the owners manual for instructions but in most cases this group is better than the manual..

Someone posted a pic version of this on vwvortex a while back, but I will try a text description:
1) On the side with the VW logo, put a pen or screwdriver (flat) into the little notch and gently pop the side with the VW logo up and away. 2) Pull the top part of the remote (the part with the VW logo) off of the bottom part (with buttons). 3) The battery is in the lower half (the part with the buttons). On the narrow side oppisite from the panic button, grasp the two edges. Gently pull apart. You will see the battery inside. Just swap it out, and then snap everything back together.Thats it!
