Just wondering if anyone has removed the hatch on a scirocco, and could give me a heads up on what to expect and any pointers you may have. Thanks.

It's been a few years, but I don't recall any tricks or anything when I swapped them between an 82 and 84. However, I would recommend having a helper around so you don't drop it. Those things are heavier than you think and may surprise you.

if you're jut removing it, nothing except for the wiring. you'll also have to peel back the headlliner of you want to remove it with the hinges. if you're swapping, pay attention to the third brake light on the later cars. other than that, yes, have a friend to help.
