Two engines in a Golf 2 at the same time

I'm dreaming of building a fun machine. Take a Golf GTI (maybee 16V) from 88 and mount an ekstra engine/gearbox/traverse/struts ....in the trunk. I could not find any links on the from people who already done this. Can you help out with some links? Greetings DerGolf

Try searching for the dual engine Scirocco via Google.

That Golf is probably still at the AutoMuseum in Wolfsburg.

Why not a 383 stroker. That should be a fun project car. Then tub and slam; although you might miss this years Daytona ;-)

Hi BS, I'm planning to build a mid-engine V8 (small block chevy) Cabriolet. I'll use a Fiero transaxle/suspension & expect around 400hp. Of course, the subject of putting one in the front to go with it came up, but that's way above my budget & besides I want to see if it will wheelstand. :-) Let me know if you're in the S.E. USA & we'll get together; I may be able to help you build your machine (or build it for you in my shop). ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"
