VW valve job/tool

Jul 05, 2007 1 Replies

Any recommendation on a tool that I should use to get out bent intake valves from a VW 2L 16V taken out from 91 passat with broken T-belt? Anything else that I would have to replace there except of the 4 bent intake valves (guides, seats etc?) Do I need to machine new valves before placing them in?

You take the head to a machine shop. They have the tools to install and ream new guides. They have the tools to regrind seats and valves to match. It is not a home shop task. They also can eveluate if it is possible to remove the bent valves without destroying the head casting. The head casting might be broken beyond economical repair.
