Wife-Light coding, buzzing - 97 F150

Another head-scratcher to digest and toss about:

My air bag light. Sometimes, it does what it has to: turn on when starting, then shut off. But, other (unpredictable) times it will start flashing a code (3-2, methinks) and stay lit = no airbag service on this flight, thank you! This happens at start-up, or, on other occasions, half-way through a longish drive.

Other times, and seemingly unrelated to the airbag light incidents, I'll start the truck and get this awfull buzzing from under the steering wheel or dash. At first it sounded electrical, now I think of it as either a buzzer or a steel spring of sorts. The weirdest thing: during this buzzing, if I use the multi-function switch, the buzz stops immediately (e.g.: turn signal on - buzz stops; turn it off, buzz returns). Perhaps my MF switch is toast and in turn affecting the AB light...

Bad clockspring in the steering column, perhaps?

Thanks - that is bang on! I Googled 'ford clockspring' and that has to be it, right down to the same code flashing.
