CHEVY DEALERSHIP -Rip- OFF - WARNING

Warning to everybody that is shopping for a car... especially a Chevrolet!

This has got to be the WORST Chevrolet Dealership in the United States!

Powers Chevrolet out by the Superstition Mall in Mesa, Arizona have a Service Manager named Derek Hadid that seems to be totally focused on ripping off customers! How could ANY sane person be tempted to buy a car from a dealership when they know the service department will refuse to honor a warranty... in FACT, Derek Hadid goes out of his way to harass customers, lie about having responsibility to repair problems under a Chevrolet warranty, and make a statement as dumb as....

"I don't build Chevrolet's so I am NOT responsible to repair them"

How can any person, hired to be the Service Manager of a Chevrolet Dealership, make such a stupid statement? The problem is.... Derek Hadid actually believes that.

I love Chevrolet automobiles.... and I have owned many of them. In fact, I still own a Chevrolet. But it will be a cold day in Hell before Powers Chevrolet gets any money from me. I would drive all the way to Florida to have my Chevrolet serviced, or to buy parts... or anything before Power's Chevrolet will lever see one penny of my money!

How can anybody TRUST a car dealership that would hire a man and place him in a leadership capacity... who's primary goal in life is to rip off customers... Probably to increase his departments revenue so he can increase his own bonus! "Screw the customer" seems to be Derek Hadid's primary focus.

AND... if Power's Chevrolet hired and trained Derek Hadid... and if Power's Chevrolet continues to employee Derek Hadid... and if Derek Hadid is allowed to continually rip off customers... as the Service Department Manager... WHAT does that say about EVERY DEPARTMENT at Power's Chevrolet?

Are you getting screwed by paying too much for a new car? Are Power's Chevrolet Sales people trained to rip off customers... sucking every nickel out of their pocket... and taking a little blood along with your hard earned money.

Power's Chevrolet in Mesa, AZ (by the Superstition Mall) is owned by AutoNation... a giant corporation that is the "largest automotive retailer in the United States". No wonder they are so arrogant and self-serving!

Don't allow yourself... or your friends to get ripped off by Power's Chevrolet... or AutoNation! I believe that if you buy a car from them, you will NEVER get ahead because they won't service it unless you pay through the nose and "warranty" ... General Motors Chevrolet division should yank their franchise... before Power's Chevrolet and their giant parent corporation "AutoNation" destroy the once solid reputation of Chevrolet!

Take Heed America! Don't buy anything from Power's Chevrolet in Mesa Arizona!

Now calm down. Have you had a chat with the GM of the dealership? With the regional rep? General Motors Corp pays these dealerships to repair under warrentee and requires them to maintain a service department. Are you sure your problem is covered? State the facts.

1) Whats the problem? 2) Miles on vehicle. 3) Model of vehicle. 4) Year of vehicle. 5) Was an appointment made or did you demand service --NOW!

Get out of the rant mode, take a breath and state the facts.

Farrell Chevrolet in Spartanburg, SC is pretty much the same way. They told me and expected me to believe that using two quarts of oil every 1500 miles is normal. An email to GM brought a surprisingly fast resolve to the matter though. After dicking with the idiots at Farrell for 15000 (that right, not an extra 0 ... fifteen thousand) miles, they finally fixed the problem within a few days of the email to GM. They kept "restarting" the oil consumption test every time it was brought back in saying the level must have been incorrect when it started. A head job fixed the problem. I had already told them, since they seemed oblivious, it was most likely valve seals, guides, or piston rings. I guess GM lit a fire under there butt.

I am now in the same situation with an Uplander. (Yeah I kow, stupid for even going back to the fools). They are trying to tell me that 12.1 volts with the engine running is normal. No matter what RPM range. The headlight flicker that the faulty regulator is causing they also say is normal. The fact that it blew all four turn signal bulbs and brake light bulbs (same as rear turn signals) within 2 minutes of each other was also just a strange coincidence. Apparently is was one of the spikes to 15.2v (which yes, it does) that caused that lol. In short, don't let Farrell Chevrolet in Spartanburg, SC even wash your windows. They could probably even screw that up. Drive the few extra minutes to Bradshaw in Greer. There Customer Service department is EXCELLENT. They are much more concerned (or act like it anyway), have nicer facilities, and have capable technicians.

That's what I did. I went into Bergstorm Chevrolet in Milwaukee, WI to get my oil changed and tires rotated. The service manager seemed annoyed and very busy, asking if I could come back another time (LOL)? I was like no, I can wait. He told me two hours, but it was done in 45 minutes. When I looked at the slip he gave me I saw that he did not rotate the tires and added 3000 miles to the service schedule sticker on the windshield. He never mentioned that he didn't rotate the tires or the reason why. I assume that he was in a rush and just did the oil change to get me out the door.

So now I go to Holz Chevrolet in Hales Corners, Wisconsin for my service needs which is 20 minutes longer to get to, but at least they do what I ask them to!

I find out after two days of negotiating and test driving that the car I am signing the dotted line for is not a GM Optimum Used car even though there is a huge sign in front of the dealership advertising the dealership as an optimum car dealer.

You all are talking about different things. None of your problems relate to warrentee work.
