Disco side steps

Hi All

Thinking of removing the sidesteps off my disco. Dont need them to get up/in. and they add weight and catch mud. Anyone interested, or what would you think they might fetch on ebay?

Any advice appreciated.

I've brought a complete set of orginal ones off ebay for less than a tenner - but occasionally they do go for a lot more.

Mine even come with some free rust and mud.

I've been trying to give mine away for over a year. No bugger wants them. Good luck.

If you are in South East I may be interested, my son needs them as a step to climb into his seat, the fat bastard at the MOT station stepped on one and all that rust gave way.......

we just don't seem to manage the logistics. I'll happily have them to put on mother's one.

You coming to Eastnor?

Fat bastard testers ripping side steps off is a Standard VOSA Test designed to determine if your car is rusty underneath.

We'll definitely have to get this arranged soon, or they're going to the skip. Not sure about Eastnor, but I'll let you know.

hehe. Got the caravan now, with nominal fridge. must see if it actually works. It's also got a gas stove, but it's of the feeble caravan persuasion, so I'll probably bring the coleman as well.

well, barring unforeseen difficulties, I'll be there.

Our Disco was waxoild from new, the only rust on the whole vehicle is the side steps, I repaired one, just trying to avoid having to repair the the other, ho hum.

Still hopefully the fat bastard tester will look favourably at MOT time for the offroader......
