Sombody save me hours of searching the web please!
I need a picture of a 2-door Disco, dead on side view, not at an angle.
Cheers Alex

Best I can do.....
And for those who are interested in such things, the Braille along the side reads:
"No, I'm not towing a wheeliebin"
let me know if you need another pic and I'll send you one of my 94 two door.
Thanks everybody, I've got what I need. An hour or so with Photoshop, to make a few mods and then I'll post the result somewhere for those that are wondering what I'm up to.

Depends on wether it's a binary ng or not.
Anyway, the picture I've done is here. Just an idea I had.

Looks similar to the 6 X 6 Carmiceal ( think thats how you spell it) Rangies on the local RAF base - used as runway fire tender thingies - My brother is a Fireman there so I might pinch a spin in one to see what it's like, V8 powered so might have a bit more go than my 300 Tdi Disco
Yes, they made a fair quantity of RangeRover 6wheelers, mostly fire tenders, but there were some made for rich arabs who wanted them. Defender 6-wheelers are still available from LR Specialist Vehicles. Sandringham and Hotspur made some Series II/IIa/III 6's, but not many. There was also some Factory Stage 1 V8 6's as well.
To my knowledge no-one has ever done it with a Disco. Several companies will covert the latest rangies to 6's
Besides, if I did it, It'd be on a Series II six-wheel chassis anyway, so it wouldn't be a Disco really.

What would you gain from adding an extra axle apart from load capacity ? would it be better off road ?

We were talking about this the other day and decided that an extra axle on a Discovery would be great for us. We'd be able to position the kids one in each corner in the back of the vehicle to prevent full scale war, and still have room for some luggage.
Do they ever grow out of filling each other in, or do they get worse as they get older?
If my own expercience is anything to go by they get there own cars soon and wonder if the kids in the back will ever stop filling each other in....

Well, sheer bloody-mindedness is my main reason. Most people I talk to say it isn't possible to convert a Series with an extra axle, and a GM Straight-six 3.0 injection.
As for off-road, probably poor without 6-wheel drive, and it'd need a compensator link between the springs, something I'm definitly not doing. A coiler would perform better, but I'm firmly of the opinion that it ain't a proper landrover if it ain't on leaves. Soft cushy coil suspension is for wimps.

why?
Start with a 90 chassis, it'd make a lot more sense.

I don't remember filling in my brothers and sisters - but they I left home at the first opportunity when I was 18, by which time they were all taller than me anyway.
LOL!
Yeah....It wasn't me Dad ;-)
Still in denial eh!

I don't want a coiler, I want a leafer.
