I'm not to keen on the v6 either, seems an awful lot of money for what it is. For my £27,000 I could think of plenty more cars that I'd choose rather than the Clio v6.
The pick of the Clio's has to be the 172/182. Fast, a good spec and competitively priced. I'm not too keen on the Cup, as I like my toys. I would have gone for the 172 but insurance was too hefty with me being only 20, so I'll leave it a couple of years. (Although there are lots of 20-25 year olds with 172/Cup's)!
The 1.4 16V is a fantastic engine, it's 23hp more than the 1.2, but only 12hp less than the 1.6, which makes it an ideal choice for insurance purposes. Granted, it's not exactly a fire breathing monster, but it ain't slow either!
Yup definately the best but it'd be a cup for me the standard ones are a bit too soft for my liking, moreso the ph2, they drive more like a small, quick luxury car than a hotch hatch. I wanna fell like i'm doin 100 at 50! I prefer to have to rev the guts out of an engine to get it to move, guess it proves i'm not old yet by liking VTEC's!
The 1.4 and 1.6 16v engines are great when they have a 20-30k on them. Hard driving does them nothing but favours, remember that ;)
I'll bear that in mind; actually, the last few trips i've done I have pushed the car a bit more than I normally would do, still 40+ mpg though. Fantastic.
206, bah my golf would have walked all over it. Shame all the cars are so similar though, there isn't much advantage swapping cars and all the changes are swapped over as well so you don't need to worry about making cash. Definitely an also ran in the driving game stakes.
Golf here too until i unlocked the skyline, traded in the golf for 2 races, got it back, got the slyline back, got the golf, finished in the skyline. Golfs better except for drifts
