OT Anyone Download AOL 9.0

I just loaded the new AOL 9.0 for an AOL upgrade disk. Soon after, I sent it to the recycle bin. It is supposed to be optimized which I thought meant faster, but that was not the case. Just my opinion, but it looked like an advertisement trying to get people to upgrade to Broadband. I simply refuse to pay for a ISP, and then pay twice as much if I want it to go fast. I am sick of AOL posting about news videos, and then writing "For Broadband Only" below it. Bill Berckman

I love AOL 9......makes me lots of $$$ just like every other new version of AOL.....they beta test their software on the end user without letting them know it......never upgrade AOL until it has been out for atleast 6 months or more.....just like with MS products where you wait until the first service pack before installing.......will save you lots of headache and money.....

I installed AOL 9 months ago and have yet to have a problem with it. And the new spam filters are doing their job well.

I upgraded mine, and ever since it sends this little message that says something about no domain server was available, verify your password for Windows, then it gives the same message about the domain server. I hit okay and it goes away after the 3rd little prompt. Thought it was this computer since it's on its last leg, but I put it on a laptop and it does the same thing. Weird.

It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it is. If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers. It isn't her's. It isn't our's either. It's ours, and likewise yours and theirs. -- Oxford University Press, Edpress News

Consider yourself fortunate.....going through the years....

AOL4.0= $785000 in reported damages in the US AOL5.0= $1.95 billion of reported damages in the US AOL6.0= $944000 in reported damages in the US AOL7.0= $1.87 billion of reported damages in the US AOL8.0= $1.22 billion of reported damages in the US in 9 months AOL9.0=$877000 of reported damages in the US since 9/1/03

These are figures compiled by industry watchdogs (ie: BBB and state Comsumer Protection Agencies along with information from AOL's stockholder reports) from requests for reimbursement for documented damages paid by users to independent shops related directly to the installation of their software and resulting "tech support" from their support staff.

I can't wait for AOL 10.0.......bring it on.......

Drill little holes in them and hang them in your garden. Keeps the birds and other critters out of it.
