1990 Alpine White GLI 16V 2.0 160k mi. Recaros very good condition - 1 small cigarette (grrrr) burn in drivers seat, power height adjusters work Interior generally good, but rear of headliner is sagging and I can't seem to get it to stick permanently. All power windows and mirrors work. Cruise Control works Sunroof Sony Mobile ES in-dash cassette with trunk-mount 6 CD changer / ADS amps & crossover / MB Quart satellites with 2 10" Stillwater subs in custom trunk box. AC converted to R134 / recharged 2 yrs ago, works well. Heater core replaced last year. Needs motor & trans mounts Runs generally well, but #4 cylinder only has 75psi pressure, 1,2,3 all over 100 compression; haven't diagnosed whether ring, head gasket, or valve problem. Head gasket was replaced 12/02, with new TB & tensioner also. 2 yr old TT cat back aluminized exhaust, K& N air filter H&R OE sport springs with Boge ProGas all around Autotech Hollow bars 25mmF / 28mmR Has original 15x 6 BBS's in so-so shape, tires are toast Right front 1/4 damaged - have new(used) replacement fender & hood (white), headlight, rad support; new front bumper skin (black). Is also missing both front plastic fender flares and grill is cracked around R headlight opening. Small rust patch around "passenger"side wiper arm post Rest of body is clean other than usual stone chips and small door dings1988 Tornado Red GLI 16V 1.8
110?k mi - odo only works about 1/2 the time Interior good, Recaros have no rips / burns but pwr height adjusters don't work Sunroof AC doesn't blow cold Cruise control broken - have replacement turn signal/control stalk but also needs throttle actuator vacuum plunger Sony in-dash am/fm/CD with stock speakers Only front power windows work, and power mirrors do not Motor runs strong, but has high idle when warm - haven't figured out why **Transmission lost 5th gear, and is the wrong gearset for the 16V ** Brand new O2 sensor and TT cat-back aluminized exhaust Wheels are 14 x 6 teardrops (rough but fairly straight) with mix & match 185 /60 /14's with good tread Body has minor dents & dings and faded paint on "top" surfaces. Bumpers and plastic trim had been painted black by a POAlso have European 50mm 16V intake & throttle body, and some miscellaneous extra parts.
Would like to sell cars whole but will consider parting out
Just don't have the time, money, or garage to do the needed work, or I'd be for sure keeping the '90!
