Will 225s fit on a 98 A4 with stock rims?

Like the subject says, will 225s fit on an 98 A4 with stock rims?

Right now I have stock rims which are 16" 205s. Could I transfer the

225s onto the stock rims or will I need a new set of rims in order to handle this larger tire size?

Thanks.

Yes. Many people upgrade to 225/50 tires on the stock 16x7 rims. It looks a little bloated, but it works.

Cheers,

Pete

I have 225-50's on my 98 2.8 quattro sport and they're fine. I don't think they look bloated at all.

If you go to

you can see all of the sizes that will fit on your stock rims.
