1992 735 Cabin Air Filter

Anyone know if the 92 735i's have a cabin air filter? If so, where are they located?

I believe 92 was the first year. In a lovely spot being the console. Lots of fun to change.

Make that "behind" the console.

For LHD vehicles.

Open the glove box, pull it fully out towards the seat.

Remove the carpet trim on the side of the centre console, towards the front of the car.

Against the firewall is the heat/AC control unit, identified by the two electrical connectors (there are two more connectors on the driver's side, so don't try to remove it)

Just back (towards the passenger compartment) from the control unit is a "door". It is secured with two T20 screws, or as early as your car is, they may be standard Phillips screws.

Remove this "door" and you have the microfilter. Slide it out, slide the new one in, and you're done.
