when i start my 95 525i it starts and runs, but die within 3 to 5
minutes. Also the info center reads.." brake light circuit" and the
brake lite does not work. After a boost, the "brake light circuit"
clears and the brake lite start working again.
I suspect a weak or dying battery but I would like to know if there
maybe something else that could be causing this problem... I dont to
go buy a new battery and still have the same problem. My wife drives
that car and I would hate to get her stuck.
Does your model have coolant sensors? On the older cars the mix is
different depending on coolant temp. That could explain why your car
stalls after a few minutes as the engine warms up.
You're saying you have a dead battery after starting fine and running
for 5 minutes? There's a specific warning light for alternator
For grins, check to see if you can find a date on the battery or go
through the service records.
