where can i find the Vin # in engine on a 2003 325I

Its all over the place - engine, plate, in a little well in the dash and so on - if all else fails look in its user handbook or use your eyes.
They should all match up, unless the engine has been changed.

The VIN is stamped -- sticker really -- on all of the major body panels, and on a placard at the base of the windshield.
