WTB: PERFECT 1998-2000 3-series coupe w/sport pkg., So.Cal. area

Jul 08, 2005 4 Replies

I'd like to replace my 1994 325is. However, I hate the new body style in comparison. AFAIK, the 2000 is the last year they made the 2dr. coupe of the old style in the 3series (4dr. stopped the year before). I'm looking for the following:

Musts:

5spd Sport package
6cyl (not sure if there were still 318's) Side airbags (not sure starting year on those) Keyless entry CD chgr. & sub. prewiring (already have the devices) Blue or green w/grey int.; red, black ok; NO yellow or white; possibility on silver. NO REPAINTING No accidents Never kept by the beach, or areas with salted roads No noticeable wear on leather (like the classic driver side side/back support area). No aftermarket head unit.

I'd like to point out that, by shopping for 2000 and earlier, you eliminate the 330ci, which is quite a bit more powerful than the 328ci...

I don't doubt ya, but it's an aesthetic thing. I just don't like the new body style anywhere near as much as the old. They really f-ed up IMO :(

1st time since BMW's beginning too. It's really a sad era for car looks. Even the Vette, which has NEVER gotten uglier, got uglier when they screwed up the headlights in the latest. Camaro's got a similar screwup. At least the ugliest car of ALL TIME, the Pontiac Aztec, is no more. My only explanation is that the designers all smoke crack while listening to no talent rap/"hip hop" and get their uninspiration from there. Garbage in, garbage out :)
