i hold the clutch all the way in, turn the key, and nothing happens... sometimes it will start, but totaly randomly... no clicks or anything so i dont think its the starter... so i had an idea to hold the clutch and hold the key on start... and after a little i heard a click and it tried to start then went off........ then a little while later it tried again... help?
Anyone whom may be able to help you needs a little more information than my car won't start. How about you give the year, engine, transmission for a start. Code readers can really help out of you haven't used one yet, unless of course it's pre computer.

Another thing you may want to look at is if it has a clutch interlock switch. A switch that only allows it to start if the clutch is depressed. The switch may be going bad. Good luck.
More info is needed. What year? Engine? What have you checked so far? Any odd lights on the dashboard? did this suddenly happen, or has it gradually gotten worse?
