02 Blazer - cranks, won't start - fuel filter?

Sounds like the fuel pump is coming on, but the car is not getting gas. Have never replaced a fuel filter, but will try this weekend...anything I need to know? If I'm not getting gas, do I need to de-pressurize the fuel line (remove fuse)? Do I need to clamp both ends after taking the old filter off? Anything I'm missing?

You'll need quick-disconnect tools to remove the lines from the filter. You will get wet unless you have a lift and can stand underneath and do the job. If yer' on yer' back you'll get some gas on ya. You can depressurize the system via the schrader valve on the fuel rail prior to disconnecting the filter to minimize this, but inevitably you'll get wet doing this too. Have the new filter within arm's reach when you remove the lines so it's off with the old and on with the new in one motion to minimize fuel spillage. I would not recommend clamping the plastic lines GM is now using...................

If still no-start after filter change, test fuel pressure via schrader valve mentioned above. Could be a fuel delivery problem to the injectors, or it could be an electrical issue with the injector drivers in the PCM.
