1970 Chevy C10 tire size change (info needed)

Hi all, I would like to change the tire size on my 1970 Chevy C10 from

235/75/15 to 31 x 10.5 x 15. Anyone know if there would be a problem with the clearance using the new size? It's NOT a 4x4. Thanks for your help. PJ

I don't know for sure, but I would say the 31" tire woud be a little over 2 inches taller (bigger in diameter). The width of the 235/75/15 would be approximately (.235 x 39.28 =) 9.2 inches. The tire would be about 1.3 inches wider. You should be able to look over your existing setup and get a good idea.
