2003 chevy silverado tranny

The first two shifts, from a stand still or already moving, seem to go in rather rough, lift a jolt. I ve taken it to the dealer twice, once they overhauled it, then the second time the reset the module, yet the problem is still present. So what may be the problem?

Any noise with the shifts (clunk, bangm thunk, etc)? Or is it just shifting quickly and firmly?

2 or 4 wheel drive?

Hopefully Ian is reading this thread and can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there is a TSB on the newer 4WD trucks for driveline clunk when shifting due to a combination of clearances in the various components of the driveline.

AFAIK, the TSB stated that this condition is "normal" and there isn't a fix for it.

well, yea like a firm shift with a jolt sometimes
