How do I change the speedometer cable on my my 86 Chevy Silverado C10? I can't find a manual and some people say I have to do it from under the dash or behind the instrument cluster.... others say I have to do it at the tranny.

Do you need to replace the core as well as the sheathing? If so, you need to do it *both* at the tranny and back of the speedo in the inst. cluster. If you just need to replace the core, that's the inst. cluster end.
