I ahve a 97 Chevy suburban that died on me today...completely lost power everything. Well, it'll crank but it wont start. Replaced the fuel filter thining that was the problem....you can hear the fuel pupm working when the key is in the on position so didnt think that was the problem, fuel filter on the other hand was clogged. Replaced the fuel filter and well that didnt work, it'll crank but not actualyl start up. anyone have any ideas or suggestions to try? ichelle

suggestions

Back to basics. To start it has to have spark and fuel. Did you check for spark?

My husband did and yes it has spark. whats next? Michelle

Squirt a little gas in the intake and see if it tries to start. About one teaspoon should do it. Don't try starting Ether. Just use regular gas.
