Have a '96 Chevy half-ton, 4.3L, 5speed. Lately the ABS light has been staying on when I start the truck... seems to stay on until I turn the truck off. Next time I start it, the light may behave normally. Now for the strange part... I've noticed that whenever the ABS light stays on, the heater fan does not work. The next time I drive the truck and the ABS light goes off as normal, then the heater fan works. Does this ring a bell with anybody ??? I guess I've got to get my hands on the wiring diagrams... but it is really hard to imagine any correlation between the ABS system and the heater fan.
