Hello again

I posted a question about a blower motor switch getting hot last November. I tried to post again but I was not able to.

For those who missed it: I had a blower motor switch and a wire leading from it getting very hot. So hot, I could not touch it ! The heat at the switch was only at medium two setting. Several posters gave me some useful information. I have replaced the switch, and the contact which connects the switch to the M2 speed wire.

Now, I am leaving the switch hanging out of the dash for awhile while I check for any excessive heat. The wire no longer gets too hot to touch, however, it still gets very warm. Is this normal ?

I twisted, and taped the new wire to the old wire. Should I solder it also ?
