Does anyone know how to disable the full time function of the headlight systemso that they will only work in the traditional manner of using the light switchwhen I want to have the lights on.

Before you do this, do you realize that most insurance companies give discounts for daytime running lights? They don't hurt anything, whydo you want them disabled anyway?

Or, just pull the drl fuse located in the fuse box under the hood. Thatis what I did and it works great, plus, I can restore the drl function inless than 30 seconds if I want DRL back.Steve

They sell relatively cheap kits to do this safely with 0 side effects.

Replace the bulbs with amber bulbs and leave it....looks like extra bright park lights....pretty cool effect...

Now what makes you say that? At least on the fullsize trucks doing this is an option. It won't work for the S-trucks and S-Blazers though...
