may get a new truck if i can get credit this time.
went to chevy dealer to ask about s-10 truck with regular cab and 4x4.
salesdick says they dont make them
is this true?

Well, the salesman is right, at least partially. The S-10 is due to be replaced by the Colorado (and the Sonoma to be replaced by the Canyon). 2003 was the last model year for both trucks AFAIK and now all that's being currently offered is the quad cab version. Extended and regular cabs have disappeared from the Chevy website for the S-10.
Last I knew a nearby dealership still had some extended and regular cab trucks. This is probably the only way you'll find one now--in the leftover stock at some dealership.
