I guess it depends on how you look at it. Joe Shluck used car salesman isn't going to be happy with a buyer being able to find out the actual value of the vehicle, but the buyer is going to be happy not getting stung paying to much, or even buying it in the first place. The vehicle became DEVALUED when it was damaged, not because its reported. But then that's a matter of ethics and morality, something the automotive industry has had problems with for a long time..
