The 2.4L engine replaced the 2.5L 4 cylinder starting with the 1996 model year. The Voyager was sold under the "Plymouth" name, which was discontinued for either the 1999 or 2000 model year.

The Voyager continued under the "Chrysler" name after that. The based model Dodge Caravan also came with the 2.4L engine starting in 1996, and I believe it is still used today.

We had the 2.5L and 2.4L in Canada as well. I few people I spoke to who had these engines in the Van, then later had the 3.3L in the same vehicle said the 3.3L was better in all respects, including fuel mileage.

In my much smaller LeBaron GTS I had the 2.5L and it performed very well for me over 10 years.

You're right. The 2.5 4-CYL was offered in the LeBaron until sometime in the early 1990's. It finished it's life with only the 3.0 Mitsubishi in 1995.
