89 Lebaron code light location

Hi All If anyone out there has an 89 LeBaron convertible, I would love to know what warning lights you should get when you power-up on the left hand strip. On switch-on, I am not getting either an engine check or power loss light. Question is - should I? For diagnostic codes, the 3 key-flicks gives nothing. I do get an air bag light & another right below it on the left, but nothing else save the seat belt sign in the main cluster. OK - so blown bulb - but trouble is, I don't know where this light should be! Most grateful for your know-how. MARK

Hmm that's normal, its a bulb test. How would you no if you engine oil pressure late worked if you didn't see the idiot late turn on at start up? You need to worry about those lites not working on start up. As far as the seat belt lite, some vehicles didn't have that option and if yours is equipped and not working doesn't mean it is the bulb. It could be the switch in the belt or a wiring issue. Glenn Beasley Chrysler Tech

Yes, thanks Glenn. I pulled the dash surround & the left hand strip away from the bulb holders. No bulb in lowest position! This is the engine check light. Now I have won the lottery with codes. I have

37,21,15,23 - with 12&55 at either end. Now to look up the meanings & figure out why it's stalling! Thanks Mark

Is this a Turbo? it has been years since I have worked on one of those but your stalling problem may be the code 15. that is the vehicle speed sensor. As the vehicle comes to a stop the vehicle speed sensor controls the automatic idle speed motor until the vehicle comes to a stop. You also have an 02 sensor that isn't switching properly which could also contribute to the stalling problem. The code 23 I believe is a charge temp sensor fault. not sure about the 37 but may be EGR or a trans solenoid fault. google it.
