Hello Everyone, Since getting my "New" New Yorker about a month ago and all the help from some one you on this group, I've come across another "Dumb" question...
The headlight knob has three positions. One being the has dash light dimmer and another being the interior light on. What does the other position do??
I checked the manual and didn't find anything.

On my old 89 NY with the digital instrumentation cluster, when you turn on the running lights or headlights, the cluster dims. Naturally, if you turn the lights on in the daytime, the cluster is harder to see. The other position is to have the cluster in the day mode with the lights on.
I had a 1987 LeBaron Convertible, and if memory serves me correct, that "extra" position on the dimmer brightens all the digital displays to their "daytime brightness" (i.e. what the clock on your factory radio looks like when the headlights are turned off). Hope this helps!
