I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan with the 3.0 l engine. When does the timing belt have to be changed?

Schedule says 60,000 miles, mine broke (Bummer!) at 122,000. There is an easy to remove (yeah I'm lazy) inspection plate on the top front.
