Identifying Hubs

Feb 08, 2009 9 Replies

A whiles ago I bought some hubs supposedly from a Mini didn't really look at them at the time just took the sellers word for it. Came to look at them the other night & they are not Mini ones but now do not know where they come from. They have MOWOG BTA363 cst into them & the accompanying calipers are Lockheed with 3243 339C & DA22892 cast in them. Can anyone shed any light on to what they came off.

What's the stud pcd?

Assuming the PCD is from centre of stud to centre of stud diagonally opposite it is 4x stud 4 1/2" PCD.

I googled the number and found an American site advertising: "MG 1100 SEDAN FRONT HUB NOS OE BTA363"

I have no idea if it is right, but it is a pointer into a believable direction.

Jim Warren gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

ADO16, then. I think the MG1100 was the only variant of that the 'merkins got, so it may well be common to all.

Yes, the 4.5" pcd would point that way.

Thanks Jim Google wasn't being my friend, I thought I had tried very heard before posting here.

Thanks Chris, so you can confirm the MG1100 had 4.5" PCD

Yes, surprisingly large pcd, considering the mini is only 4". The front hubs do look very similar indeed at first glance though!

As far as I know, all the 1100 and 1300 variants used the same hub.

Well actually ... (confession time)... I used Alta Vista not Google, but it was a lot more keystrokes and doesn't really work as a verb!
