Elder Brother Fully Restored one of these many years back.. Brought it from a Doc in a very bedraggled and run down state. Didnt see it again for another 6months, and when I did, It may as well have rolled off the production line. Fully rebuilt engine, box and body, resprayed in that lovely Alfa Red, Re-upholstered the works......

Recall it Doing Umtali / Mutare ( zimbabwe) to Johanesburg in 6hrs including the boarder post times on either side of the river ;-)

Dont know who he sold it to or what happened to it ... shame really.

Dont make them like they used to .. shame really, it was one hell of a car !!

Sheesh no contest really, even updating nothing on the Alfa except modernising the construction methods as you say... Although to be fair the newer cars have to meet much stricter emmissions, crash, noise and other standards.
