Key won't turn to unlock steering column. Is this a repair for auto shop or is it possible to remove lock without damage to airbag system. Thanks for any suggestions.

Sometimes the gear selector is not fully engaged. jiggle the gearshift in park, and then try to jiggle the steering and turn the key.
